Junior High Kid and I are off to the theater before long…we’re working in the light booth for the local children’s theater company’s “other production” (the one that he’s not in this fall). This production is in the Englert theater, which is a beautiful restored theater building. I’ve never been in the light booth in there, so it should b efun.
When we get home, I’ll need to do some writing…because I haven’t done any yet today…because I went to breakfast in Cedar Rapids with some other children’s writers…and after that I went to the big library book sale…and after that it was just too nice outside to work, so I took my 22 mile bike ride (because I don’t know how many more times I’ll be able to do that this season…it’s pretty cold in the mornings now. It won’t be long before it’ll be too cold for me to ride at all).
But I WILL do some writing yet today. Really, I will.
Ohhhhh that sounds like fun! Give us the scoop in how the viewing was from the lighting booth!
Pretty cool…except we didn’t get to stay there. The night before they didn’t have enough help in the lighting booth…last night they had TOO much help. So I ended up ushering and Junior High Kid ended up running the computer (they had screens up that displayed the poster from each Broadway play whenever a song changed, so his job was to advance the slides)
I will hold you to that! 😉
I’m glad I posted that publicly…we got back later than I expected to last night, so it was really tempting to just blow it off. But I’d SAID I was going to write when I got home, so I did…I got in 758 words…
GREAT! 🙂 🙂 🙂
